This is a sight that helps with coming up with ideas to make writing fun using text organizers. It is very easy to do but the only thing is that you can not save anything. You have to just print it out if you want to save it. When you enter the page you are give a bunch of directions that help lead you to how the sight works. The first arrow explains what the purpose of text organizers are for. The next to organizers explain what each organizer does and what to do when you find an organizer you want to use. Then you just click on either one of the text types, which includes examples like procedure, discussions, or narratives help. Or you could choose from an everyday texts, which includes examples of letter, invitations, emails or news. Finally you can choose from any downloads or printable they have. These downloads and printable are all word formatted to work on your computer.
When you decide what you want to use you click on it. Then your examples show up and you can view the different examples by clicking the different numbers on the bottom of the page. When you find one you want to try and use you click the but with the bug next to it that says "write online." Then you just type in your information where it is needed. When you are finished there is no way for you to save it so you can just print it out and have a hard copy right away. This is actually helpful because you are able to write notes on it when you come up with things to add or take out.
This website would be very helpful for a RLA curriculum because it helps your students learn how to keep there thoughts in an organized way. It also helps them work through the step by step process of how to write different assignments like a persuasion speech or an invitation. It is fun for them because they get to look at different examples and pick the one that works best for them. Then they get to do the most work on line so they don't have to hand write it all and when they are done they get to have a nice, clean, organized hard copy of their work. This website will help show students that it can be fun and helpful to be organized but it also can show that it is not to hard to write out different writing assignments that may seem pretty hard at first. I really enjoyed working with this website and I hope future viewers will as well.
